Your Path to Healing
I provide counseling and therapy to people of all ages facing a wide range of difficulties in a gentle, supportive environment. At times when you feel overwhelmed, worried, hopeless, upset, afraid, angry, or feeling alone, you can give yourself the gift of starting your healing process.
I believe in the power of your inner healing and psyche wisdom and tapping into it to guide you. I approach the therapeutic process with a holistic lens, focusing on mind-body-spirit wellness; they are all connected and all matter.
My background and training is in liberation psychology, indigenous spirituality and medicine, mindfulness, meditation practices, trauma focus behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focus, narrative therapy, early childhood education, and intergenerational trauma. I believe in processing and healing past wounds, while also working with body and what is coming up in the present moment
I have been practicing psychotherapy in Sonoma County for over 15 years. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients, helping them to become empowered and find a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their lives and relationships.
I work with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationships problems, life transitions, work/career, intergenerational trauma, and everyday stressors.
My main orientation is incorporating holistic approaches with Trauma focus approaches and Narratives/stories, working on self-awareness intergenerational trauma, and looking at multigenerational healing. I believe in processing and healing past wounds, while also working with the body and what is coming up in the present moment using body-oriented techniques and mindfulness. Looking into at ways we have learned to relate to ourselves, others, and our community. I approach therapy holistically, focusing on mind-body-spirit wellness. I also use native Mexica practices and approach healing considering your spirituality and body energy (breathing, connection with body and spirit)
In my practice, I work with adults, children, and families, and have experience with diverse populations including BIPOC and people with disabilities.
